In honour of Amelia Earhart, a most formidable woman, and on the anniversary of her disappearance, we present:
THE AVIATOR!
INGREDIENTS
45mL Bombay Gin
10mL Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
20mL Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
15mL Rhubarb & Juniper Puree*
*Here's where necessity and scarcity of ingredients come in.
Lacking a locally sourced Rhubarb & Juniper Puree we turned to our neighbours who can.
So we took 7.5mL of Rhubarb Syrup and 7.5mL of Vanilla Rhubarb Jam, smacked that together with 2 dashes of Orange Juniper Bitters.
Close enough for the ladies we fly with!
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake well, and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a cute lil paper airplane.

HOT GOSSIP: Earhart was most likely about to complete the first round-the-world transit in a 2 person plane. Her Co-pilot was a guy. And a drunk. And some say it was on his watch that the plane went down, somewhere on the way to New Guinea.
