With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We were in the midst of the recording process for our debut release, and had a couple of exciting shows planned that unfortunately didn't get to happen.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
We had planned to release our debut 5-track EP in June 2020 and were planning for a big release party; obviously this didn't come to be. With the extra time on our hands, we ended up recording 5 more tunes and decided, what the heck, we'll make it a full length album.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
All three of us have been trying to come up with fun ways to engage our followers on social media while we awaited our album release. We started an At Home and Acoustic video series and our Top of the Heap video series, where we share our favourite vinyl records that we've been playing. I think individually we've all had our ups and downs with staying creative and productive, but we're trying to use the isolation and lack of things to do to our benefit.
How are dealing with the Covid third wave?
It's obviously a big fat bummer, but not much we can do about it at the end of the day. At least it's spring and we can actually go outside to pass the time.
