HOMETOWN HUSTLE This podcast/conversation series continues with another of GP’s OG punks, Travis Colwill coming at you on another Sofa Session!
EPISODE 22 Travis and I officially met in the mid-2000s, around shows at Howler’s Lounge (GPRC) and Shark’s (now Better Than Fred’s). It’s fun to try and connect the dots a bit as Travis was beginning to play out just as I was arriving in GP and getting my first taste of the music scene here.
Travis and his dudes were coming up with first wave of bands I saw, and hot on the heels of OG punk band Undermind Authority. A lot of what we get into ties into the importance of an active scene with venues and people who provide a proving ground for budding art. We talk music, inspiration, punk/ska/metal counterculture and that most wonderful of things: Fatherhood ^_^
