With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We were all in our hometown of Fernie, BC
How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
When the pandemic shut everything down, we were a few weeks away from leaving on a 3- week European Tour opening for The Dead South, which we had to cancel. We also had to cancel our annual Fernie Stoke Fest which we put on every March. Since then we are watching all of spring shows and summer festivals cancel one by one. In June we plan to release our 5th album and we are now trying to be inventive with how to market it during a pandemic.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?
We’ve been busy doing a weekly one-hour concert stream live from Fernie which includes guest pop-in performances from friends in other bands including The Dead South, Bobby Tenderloin, Carmanah, and more. We’ve also been eating a lot of snacks. So many chocolate bars.
Favourite quarantine meal?
Homemade Enchiladas, Red Wine (from a box) and a chocolate bar for dessert.
Favourite Starlite Room Moment?
We played at The Starlite Room on the very first night of our Archipelago album release tour! We were nervous to play all the new songs, but it was a hoot in the end.
